Editorial Lead- Storytelling & Content Producer
(Founder-Led Brand | Contract / Part-Time)
The opportunity
We’re hiring an Editorial Lead – Storytelling & Content Producer to shape the narrative of a founder-led brand in the confidence, leadership, mental health and personal growth space.
Your role is to turn our video archive of speaking engagements, live events, workshops, podcasts, travel, and lived experiences as well as podcast content into clear, compelling, culturally relevant storytelling across platforms.
This role acts as the editorial lead for the founder and brand’s content, deciding what stories are told, how they’re framed, and why they matter now.
What you’ll do
Story & Narrative Development
Review long-form and short-form video and audio content to identify strong story angles
Shape raw moments into clear narrative arcs (tension → insight → takeaway)
Connect personal experiences to wider cultural conversations
Hooks, Angles & Series Thinking
Create bold, insight-led hooks rooted in meaning, not gimmicks
Reframe moments into mindset shifts and emotionally resonant truths
Develop content as series and themes, not one-off posts
Editorial Direction
Decide what stories become Reels, YouTube clips, podcast teasers, or long-form episodes
Brief editors and content creators clearly on:
what to cut
what to emphasise
the emotional or narrative payoff
Safeguard and sharpen the founder’s voice
Podcast Scripting
Shape podcast episode ideas and outlines
Script or co-script podcast episodes, intros, and narrative segments
Help turn lived experiences and cultural moments into compelling audio storytelling
Cultural Awareness
Stay tuned into conversations around confidence, leadership, ambition, money, identity, and mental health
Identify where existing content naturally intersects with what people are already discussing
Keep the brand culturally relevant without chasing trends
What this role is NOT
❌ Not a Social Media Manager (no scheduling, posting, or comment management)
❌ Not a Comms or PR role (this is storytelling, not message control)
❌ Not a Videographer or Editor (you shape the story — you don’t film or edit)
